What makes INVERSO different from much of the perfume world is that it began with two artists, not with a brand concept. We came together around a shared vision and started with the perfume itself. Maurizio’s extraordinary olfactory talent and Kristina’s visual perspective and experience bringing ideas to life are at the heart of INVERSO. From there, every visual and tactile element is thoughtfully shaped around the fragrances.
Our approach is rooted in craftsmanship and a love for the details. We create niche extrait de parfums that move beyond trends, with each fragrance telling its own story through texture, form, light, and sound. Each one has its own unique "soul" yet they all share an unmistakable INVERSO DNA. We don't focus on notes but rather on the experience itself.
As a family-run atelier, visual art and photography are at the heart of everything we do. Several of our fragrances, including PRIVATE, POESÍA, ON LAND, FROM LAND, SOLILÓQUIO, and STAI FERMA, were inspired by Kristina’s photography books and the emotions, landscapes, and moments captured within them.
Our bottle was chosen for its sculptural simplicity. Its proportions and shape were considered carefully, not only for their understated elegance but for how naturally they fit in the hand. Designed to be used and lived with rather than simply displayed, it reflects our belief in thoughtful simplicity while also allowing us to reduce packaging, shipping volume, and environmental impact.
Every INVERSO fragrance is macerated and bottled by hand in New York City. We fold each origami box ourselves and handwrite every name, embracing a slower and more personal process from creation to presentation.
