Much like with our extraits, the composition of 2003 moves with restraint, each element entering and exiting with intention. At the center is tuberose, clearly the soloist, but never extra. She steps forward when the moment asks for it, luminous and assured, then eases back, letting the rest of the arrangement breathe. Nothing competes with her, yet nothing disappears behind her either.
