SUPERFLUO is where the story of INVERSO PROFUMI began. In movie terms, Superfluo was our “meet-cute.” The post-pandemic world was just beginning to open when an American artist traveled to Sicily for work, only to become completely enchanted by a perfume and fall in love.
Supérfluo captures the essence of Sicily—bright, abundant, and effortlessly elegant. It bursts with candied Sicilian fruits, heavenly cassata, bold peony, and, of course, orange blossoms. Pink pepper sparkles through the top notes as if to remind you that you are, after all, in Sicily, where every moment holds the promise of new magic.
Perhaps that is why Oscar Wilde once said, “Sometimes, the unnecessary is necessary”—a reminder that beauty often lies in what we call superfluous.
